Tragedy on set. Lead actor Brandon Lee (son of Bruce Lee) was fatally shot on set in a freak accident only days before filming was slated to finish. The film was thrown into complete disarray and a year later re-worked.  “The film became about something different … It became about how you deal with grief. What happens when someone you love is taken from you? How do you incorporate that into your life?” one source said about the film.

Because of Lee’s passing, difficult and unorthodox special effects were developed to finish the film.

Support Pride in film! Series creator Don Manchini describe consciously incorporating queer elements based on his own experiences as a gay man throughout  multiple iterations of the Chucky franchise.

Bride of Chucky is notable in that it's the first film in the series to portray a positive gay character. The campy tone of Bride of Chucky would mark a turning point in the series, complementing Manchini's emphasis of queer themes as the series progressed.

The film is also Jennifer Tilly's debut in the series. Tilly is known for her role in Bound (1996), an iconic lesbian thriller.

Why You'll Want To See This!

The horrific, psycho-sexual overtones of H.R. Giger's design for the Xenomorph. The perfect blend of ickiness, terror, and beauty; Alien blends the artistic with the appalling.

A titan in Sci-fi and horror, Alien has irrevocably shaped pop culture forever. Be it StarCraft, Warhammer 40k, Halo, or Dead Space; Alien's concepts of an alien insemination and killer bugs growing under your skin have now infected the minds of artists for generations. Countless movies, comic books, and videogames all pay homage to Alien's horrifying creation.

Why You'll Want To See This!

Klowns and Kamp. Killer Klowns From Outer Space generally reads as goofy rather than terrifying. You'd expect a horror movie to flop if audiences couldn't take the film seriously, but the Klowns' antics were so endearing that the film grew to be a cult classic.

American punk band The Dickies wrote and performed Killer Klowns’ theme song. With as much staying power as the cult classic, The Dickies are one of the longest tenured punk bands performing for over 40 years.
