Now Playing! Only At The Hyland!
On the cold morning of April 9, 1940, the Germans invade Norway with clear goals in mind: the king, the government, control of the coast, iron ore, and Norway's gold reserves. Frederik Haslund, not the bravest man, is general secretary of the state. He is given the task of securing the gold. During a few chaotic hours, on the day of the occupation, Frederik gathers a group of people. A sister, a bank clerk, truck drivers and the Norwegian poet Nordahl Grieg. Although they have no military training, they rise to the challenge.
