Fatih Akin's 2025 film Amrum is a coming-of-age drama set in 1945 on the German North Sea island, focusing on Nanning, a 12-year-old in the Hitler Youth struggling with the fall of Nazism and family care. Based on Hark Bohm’s childhood, it explores indoctrination and survival, featuring a stellar cast including Diane Kruger and newcomer Jasper Billerbeck.
